I have just recently bought the lelo gigi and it is phenomenal.
I have spent lots of my hard earned money on vibrators that don't hit the spot. The gigi manages to hit it time and time again. My husband and I have a great time playing with our new toy and because he works away a lot it is a great substitute too.
It is sleek and easy to use and looks great (I know that sounds weird). There are plenty of different modes and being able to change the intensity is great for if you are getting there a bit too soon. In saying that, watch the overuse of lube because if it is on your hands it is very hard to handle but that is reasonable and expected.
Overall it is fantastic, five stars and well worth the money if you like to hit the big 'O'. |

For my first vibrator I wanted quality, lasting, higher end, good looks and overall rave reviews. I went into a couple of shops and lots of sites going through tons of reviews on many products. After narrowing my choices down to Lelo's Nea/Lily, Lelo's Pink Gigi and a few Funfactory toys, I decided on Gigi 'cause I figured the G-spot stimulation would be in for the longer run than Nea/Lily; they're rechargeable, and comes it with a satin bag. The slim black box and one year warranty were more attractive than what Funfactory offered.
When I received it, the packaging was astounding. My male flatmate commented, "Wow, they don't do this for guy sex toys." Or many girl ones, in fact. The few hours of recharge before first use had me impatient. I would later find an hour or two's recharge would allow me to use it for days.
Note: best to charge it regardless of your thinking "I can do it later" because, if you're like me, the only indication of its low battery is a subtle decrease in intensity instead of the LED shining red instead of white when the interface is pressed. I obviously don't look down or press it often. It is a tragedy when you're in happyland and it dies, and you have to wait 20 minutes before it can please you again.
Eventually, when the LED stopped blinking, I fiddled with the four functions on the thumb pad sized button. Left and right: intensity. Up and down: switching between vibrational modes and unlike other toys, it doesn't need to do a cycle to go from the second to first mode. At the first it gives a constant vibration; second, slow pulse (about the pace of a clock); third, moderate; fourth fast; and last is a wave. There is a very good range of intensity and goes up to very strong; enough, I reckon, to satisfy most women. The silicon texture feels really good on wet skin, waaay better than plastic as I have recently discovered. The head's width can be covered by two fingers (middle+fore) side to side and although I cannot vouch for its g-spot stimulation, what it does on clit is mindblowing. Moreover, because it utilises a button for your thumb, one handed manipulation is easy as, unlike dials, so you don't have to stop.
Having gotten used to Gigi, my first reaction to the couple of new plastic ones I have was "They're so freaking noisy!" On sound level you can definitely use Gigi, regardless of intensity, with thin walls. Unfortunately at low ones there is this keen whine that only goes away when strong vibrations kick in. It isn't so annoying that your pleasure can't block it out though.
I've been playing with it for several months now and through it, I have faith in Lelo's products. Gigi is highly recommended if you want a toy that does extremely well in what it's supposed to do. It is expensive compared to the less-than-thirty-dollars plastics you can get, but in this case the difference in price is indeed the difference in quality. |
