wet stuffRecently MMA champion Ronda Rousey stated that you don’t need lube in the bedroom if you’re doing things right. Whist we admire Ronda, and wouldn’t want to get on her bad side, we believe that what she stated may have been taken out of context, if not it’s just simply incorrect.

We have to start with the basic information and that every woman is different and this includes vaginal lubrication.

lipolysis2Vagina lubrication changes over the course of their cycle, and over the course of a lifetime. These factors have nothing to do with the quality of your sexual activities. No amount of foreplay or stimulation is going to get you wet and ready if certain physical factors aren’t at play.

Penis size can also play a factor as well, if the size of the penis is considerable it would be more comfortable with a little extra lubricant. No woman wants to feel the burn of skin rubbing and may even feel like it is ripping you, which isn’t pleasant.

Unplanned and spur of the moment sex can require a little help, as you are not exactly ready all the time. If you like to have outdoor sexampule with the excitement of getting caught, or if you are feeling frisky after date night and can’t wait until you get home. Luckily, there are many lubricants that are available in satchels, ampules, dissolvable capsules and purse size bottles.

The texture of lube can be a turn on when you find the right one. It is recommended to try different styles of lubricants, even if you have found one that you love the next one could be the one you can’t live without.

There are so many different varieties of lubes available:

  • Water Based
  • Silicone
  • Organic
  • Natural
  • Stimulant
  • Flavoured
  • Warming
  • Cooling
  • Anal

With so many lubes available it can be very hard to select the right lube for you. We have another blog to assist in your decisions, choosing the right lube.

There can be other factors of why you may need to use lubricants, if you are getting intimate for the first time you may have a little anxiety and not produce enough of your own lubrication or simply you prefer a little extra.

Lubes can also add to the fun, different flavours that honestly do taste a lot better than what most people think. I remember trying the new Wet Stuff Salted Caramel on my hand as a tester and I couldn’t stop licking it and I wanted more.

Stimulating, warming and cooling lubes provide a different sexual sensation for the both of you, they can even increase your desire to have sex and increase your climax. For me this is a good enough reason to give them a go.

anal lubeHave you ever tried to have anal sex without lube?! No thank you!! The bum doesn’t have any natural lubricant so you need to use lube otherwise you are going to have one sore bum and if you are not using toys, one sore penis. This is why there is specially formulated lubricants for anal sex.

Practicing safe sex you need to be using a condom and it is highly recommended to use lubricant with condoms to prevent them tearing. This states something in itself as condoms do have some form of lubrication on the already but still state that it is best to use a little lube as well.

Obviously, it comes down to your personal preference. If you feel like you are naturally well lubricated every time you are ready to rock n’ roll and don’t see the need for lube, go for it. Nevertheless, I do recommend that if you haven’t tried it you might want to give it a go. You might find that special lube that may provide you with that little extra pleasure.
