The internet has a wealth of information that can be extremely helpful but also can be a little confusing. Especially when it comes to anything relating to sexual nature and relationships. The internet may seem to be overwhelming at times with every bit of information you can think of, and some you may not want to. I notice it a lot when I am doing any research so I wanted to try something a little bit different with this blog.

I realised that I didn’t want to rely solely on my internet research and decided to conduct my own research so I had a very open conversation with a group of male friends to find out exactly what their favourite bedroom positions were.

There are quite a few that to me are very obvious, especially if you are in an honest relationship as your partner would simply tell you what they like. Here are the results from our little survey amongst friends.

Woman on Top: All the guys I spoke with all agreed that they love it when their women are on top. They love being able to see all of their partners good bits as they straddle their bodies. This also places the woman in control, and men seem to like us being in control sometimes. The woman can go as slow or as fast as she feels, pleasing herself whilst pleasing her man.

The control continues as if they think that it is all going to come to an end they can slow it down and continue with the fun. Yes, the guys did state that sometimes this can be a little frustrating as they want to explode and then they are taken down to a rumble.

Missionary: Whilst a lot of people may think that the missionary position is boring and for dull married couples that don’t have sex very often. It happens to be one of the most commonly used positions in the world. Everyone knows this one and has done it, but you can change it up a little.

Let’s start with the simple fact that you both can adjust the thrusting and control in this position. Men want to believe that they are in total control but realistically they know that if the woman is thrusting and bucking her body whilst he is thrusting, the stimulation is going to be pretty fantastic. I also have to add their comments that, with the missionary position it is still very intimate as you can see each other’s face and bodies which they enjoy sometimes, depending on their moods and needs.

Reverse Cowgirl:  This is the reverse variation of the woman on top position, again they do want you to be in control as it really does turn them on. Let’s face it or actually not, there is no intimate face to face contact in this position, but it isn’t always about romance it’s enjoying the moment. If you need to have that interaction you can always look back at him with a wicked smile.

Doggy Style: I have to be honest and say I have never been a fan of the name ‘Doggie Style’ but I do love the position and so do men. This is when they can take control over how fast or slow they want to go as they are taking the woman from behind. It also allows for deeper penetration which some women love, but make sure you let him know if it is too much.

Standing Up: This one can be tricky, and because of this I didn’t expect it to come up in the conversation. Firstly, the guy has to have some strength if he wants to pull this one off without injury either to himself or his partner.

This position is ideal in the shower or when either of you want a quickie, he pins you against a wall or over a table and just drives himself deep within you. (Feeling a little hot thinking about this one.) This position can be very passionate and spur of the moment.

Spooning: I was informed that this position is usually for when you are in a couple but not really for one night stands or just a casual fling as this can be a little too much for the guys.

The spooning position is ideal when you are just lazing with your lover affectionately and it simply just happens. The man has his hands totally free to feel the woman’s body and she has her hands free to feel her own body as well. Maybe she would like a little bit of clitoral play whilst he is pleasing her from behind. Men do understand that a lot of woman do need clitoral stimulation as well and it turns them on if you look after that whilst they look after the rest.

The Strip Tease and Lap Dance: This seems to be a bit of a fantasy to men. They all want the good girl that can also become the naughty girl. Whilst I have nothing against that, it may not be for everyone.

When a woman puts on some sexy lingerie and then strips for her man he loves the anticipation and the tease behind it all. He is just sitting on a chair enjoying watching not knowing if he is allowed to touch or feel.
