Better Sex and Exercise

Share the Love

Let’s be honest, we all want to make sure we are having the best sex sexercisethat we can. Sex is very enjoyable when done right and with the right person, but when it is bad it is bad.

Here are just a few ways that we can help to achieve better sex through exercise and it is not as hard as you may think. We know there are a lot of people, like me, who doesn’t like to exercise but do it anyway. At least this exercise is for a really good cause, your sex life.

Arms and Shoulders and Wrists

These areas are worked intensively during a romantic romp, so keeping them in tip top shape is important.

Push-ups or, depending on your beginning fitness level, wall pusheswrists – think push-ups against a wall while standing. After some time doing wall pushes, you can then graduate to knee push-ups on the floor before attempting full-on push-ups.

It is easy to forget about your wrists but they are very important and they are one of the weakest muscles we have unless we exercise them. Stress balls, small weights and the old hand grips are an easy way to increase your wrist strength to achieve longer results in different positions and when using your hand in foreplay.

Abs and Core

No matter which position you find yourself in, your core is key to longer-lasting lovemaking.

Good old-fashioned abdominal crunches – or if you’re into yoga, try plankholding the plank position to tighten your core. Do the plank position by getting into push-up position, and support your weight on your elbows, forearms and toes. Keep your elbows shoulder-width apart and your ankles touching. Tense your abs to keep your pelvis from dipping towards the floor, keeping your back as straight as you can. Hold for 40-60 seconds. I’m not going to lie, doing planks is hard, really hard and it will take patience if you haven’t done them before. Don’t stop and be disheartened if you don’t hold them for long on the first time that you do them, be persisted and you will feel the benefits.

Cardio

Equally important inside and outside the bedroom, cardiovascular exercise ups your stamina and improves your body’s use of oxygen.

Keep your heart rate elevated for 30 minutes at least 5 times a weekrunning1 in any way you choose; spinning, running, swimming, or even a steamy session with a partner – whatever gets your blood pumping!

This is of course fantastic for your overall health but once why not increase the effort for your sexy adventures.

Flexibility

It may feel silly the first time you do it, but stretching before sex makes a marked difference in the experience. Getting limbered upflex before lovemaking will allow you to hold whatever position you like for longer, and avoid muscle cramping. You can do your warm up stretching in the bathroom so that it doesn’t take away any of the romantic or sexual mood that you both have going on.

A little extra effort in the exercise department will provide you a lot of pleasure in the bedroom department. What have you got to lose? Go get your exercise on!
