\"hearts\"Valentine\u2019s Day<\/a> is almost upon us and it can bring out so many different sides to singles and couples, and people in general. The first thing I\u2019m going to look at is \u2018the elephant in the room\u2019, the fact that a very large number of people believe that Valentine\u2019s Day is a cash grab by retailers, a Hallmark holiday even though it\u2019s not a holiday but how cool would it be to have a holiday, sorry I digress. A commercial day to force people to purchase a gift for their significant other or someone they may wish to be with.<\/p>\n

Whilst everyone is obviously entitled to have their own opinion on Valentine\u2019s Day let\u2019s look at what it represents. It\u2019s a day to celebrate love and romance and to celebrate saint Valentines<\/a> during a Western Christian liturgical feast day.<\/p>\n

The first time the romantic and love avenue was associated to the day was in the 14th<\/sup> century, but I won\u2019t bore you too much with that. It\u2019s a day that lovers can show one another their true romantic side and show each other their love. To me it doesn\u2019t mean that it should be the only day that you show each other but it is a represented <\/i>day of love.<\/p>\n

Whilst flowers are the easy go too for a lot of people and I love flowers but I really don\u2019t like the sudden price increase around the 14th<\/sup> February every year. Especially since I purchase flowers at the markets with my lover every Saturday morning for less than $20.00, and with this in mind flowers whilst beautiful are not on my list of Valentine\u2019s Day surprise gifts.<\/p>\n

I think it is an understatement that I am a fan of toys and even with the toy chest of wonders that I have in my bedroom I don\u2019t think I will ever have enough toys and I know my lover feels the same way. Toys can provide so much pleasure for both of you, physically, mentally and visually.<\/p>\n

Now for some wonderful suggestions to give the gift of love and or romance to your lover, and why not make it a little sexy.
