Sexting cops a lot of slack from the media. It feels like every other week one of the many Australian news programs talks about the dangers of sexting and urging women to just keep their clothes on. \"sexting\"<\/a>Apart from the massively unfair amount of victim blaming going on, it seems like many people aren\u2019t aware of how fun a sexy text or a naughty nude can be in a trusting relationship!<\/p>\n

A few cheeky, sexy texts or a picture here and there can be a great way to spice up your relationship \u2013 kind of like dangling the carrot in front of the horse, they see what they could be having and the eagerness to pursue you grows! It\u2019s also a fun way to keep things interesting in long-distance relationships, or with fly-in-fly-out couples. It\u2019s hard going from a frisky, frequent sex life to nothing at all so a little bit of sensual communication goes a long way during these times.<\/p>\n

However, the world is not always a safe and loving friendly place, so there are a few precautions that you should take before trying this \"sexting<\/a>out. Firstly, make sure that this is a consensual act. While you may feel that it is okay to send a lover a naughty text or picture out of the blue, they may not feel the same way. Like anything involving sex, make sure they\u2019re okay with playing along.\u00a0 If you\u2019re both unsure, you can talk about your boundaries together; maybe you can only do dirty messages after working hours, or maybe you both agree to delete images after viewing, the main point is that you both agree with how and what you\u2019re sending.<\/p>\n

Next, I recommend that you absolutely do not send pictures to anyway you don\u2019t trust completely. Your husband? Sure. Your girlfriend of several years? Sure. That guy you met last week at a friend of a friend\u2019s party? Definitely not! Also, you don\u2019t have to feel pressured into sending images back, even if they send you something first.<\/p>\n

Finally, and this is a super easy one \u2013 keep your face out of the picture. We live in a world where there are literally thousands of sexy images online, and not all their owners know that they\u2019re on there. Keep your privacy a little more secure by making sure your face isn\u2019t included in your cheeky shots. Should someone leak an image, or should a phone repair person see it on your partner\u2019s phone, you won\u2019t be recognizable. Like any superhero, your alter ego is safe and distanced from your more scandalous adventures. Oh, and another thing to take into consideration is don’t do any sexting\"sexting<\/a> when you are intoxicated, you may end up sending it to the wrong person.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s the nitty gritty of sending sexy stuff via text. It\u2019s officially time to pull out the camera and take some very happy snaps!<\/p>\n

You may even find that you enjoy looking at your pictures as much as your partner does. Fun photos can be a great confidence booster inside the bedroom, but also outside of it too! There\u2019s nothing like walking down the street knowing that you, yes you, are one stone cold fox.<\/p>\n
