So let’s sort some out.

If you have sex in water you cannot get an STI – wrong. It is actually more likely that you will if your partner has an infection. The act of intercourse is friction, and friction in water can lead to a slight tear of the skin and bacteria can enter through a simple tear, no matter how small they are.
If you believe that you are ok because you are using a condom, sorry wrong again. Yes, there is less risk but condoms can become weak with any chemical that may be in the water. For example: chlorine in a pool or even bubble bath. And when it comes to spa’s you will have to think of the heat.
Still, with condoms, you only need to wear one condom you shouldn’t double up. Wearing two or more condoms on at the same time doesn’t make it any safer, it can actually decrease the safety as the risk of it breaking has increased.
So just wear one condom and make sure you use some lube and have some fun. If you find that you need to change condoms half way through because the action is increasing, do it. Always have extras, you don’t want to be caught without enough.

Unbelievably, some women especially younger woman, still think they can’t become pregnant whilst they are menstruating. Not true, you can conceive at any stage of your cycle and there are certain times that you are exceptionally fertile. Don’t risk it, use contraception.

The pull out method always works – whilst I have a friend who has used this method for many years and they have never had an accident, it is not a foolproof way of preventing a pregnancy. You only need one good swimmer to get in and find his way through.

But if you are trying to become pregnant and you are wishing for a certain gender for your baby, standing on your head with your left pinkie finger on your nose, whilst drinking garlic water is not going to guarantee you a boy or girl. There is no position that is going to alter what you are blessed with.

Now, this next one can come down to personal opinion more than a sex myth.
Size doesn’t matter. This goes for both men and women. If you really know what you are doing you can please a woman or a man.
But if you are too big or too small for his or her personal liking you are not going to get the job done with your penis or vagina alone. You will have to use your mouth, fingers and toys. It might take a little more effort but it might be worth it.
Unless, if a woman only likes big or small penises that’s all she is going to like. Same with men, if they only like a certain sized vagina then that is what they like. We are human and if we like something a certain way then so be it. No offence to anyone it is about what we like and enjoy.

Just a couple of myths that I believe should be debunked so that we can all enjoy our sex lives with a little more knowledge. It never hurts to learn more.

One would think in today’s sexual society that there wouldn’t be too many sex myths out there that people still believed in, but on doing a little research I have found that there are still a few that unbelievably people still think are true.
